Message purchase it separately though. Junk yard or used AAC/FICD unit will be your best bet if you don't want to fork down the $300 for a new unit.

I'm betting that your knock sensor connector connection has probably corroded. Unless you take off the plenum, upper and lower manifolds, you have to remove the transmission to get to it. Or do the knock sensor relocation with a new pigtail.

You may be lucky though, and your mechanic got the knock sensor connector mixed up with the other connector that looks the same in the back. I forget which one it is. Try swapping it when you find it.

Knock sensor looks like this connector though(To ECU)
